The only things I ever caught in Chicago were the flu and a buzz.

As it were, during my seven years working at a scout reservation I was often referred to as “Sam the Bald Eagle”, Sesame Street’s resident curmudgeon, apropos of my eyebrows and Eagle Scout rank. Generally speaking, though, the inner-city youth with whom I worked usually (and inexplicably) opted for “Eminem”* even though I would be about as good a fit on the WPCBCN as Al Gore. Neither really works as a handle, and “Joe” is just a bit too bland for the blogosphere. I figured what I currently use is just annoying enough to be memorable – it would appear you agree.

That being said, I very much respect your work and wish you the best in the upcoming round. From this point on, it’s up to my father’s eyes, my mother’s nose, and your goatee.

Keep up the good work, and I sincerely look forward to your Congressional testimony concerning Mr. Bonds.

By the way, I also volunteer with autistic children.
